Need advice on Pole Electric Chain Saw, for cutting tree branches in home garden. I have never used chain saw before, please kindly give advise based on your experience, on ease of use, maintenance, safety, handling etc. Thanks in advance.

I've never used one before but as with any kind of powered tool, wear a shoe or anything with a rubber sole to prevent electric shock. Obviously, not advisable to use it after the rain when the branches and ground are wet. Also get children out of the way as usual when using anything with a pole. They tend to get behind you where the end of the pole is going and may get hit by it. Hope my 2 cents advise would help.

In actual fact, I honestly believe the method you suggested is way more safer and cheaper.

My layman understanding is that it would happen as fast as the current flows, which makes it within milliseconds or even microseconds?

The limitation would fall back to the switching circuits driving the magnets. The thing is, the train would have long exceeded the safe speed limit long before the electro-mechanical mechanism of the switching circuits even begin to start having problem coping with the very high switching speed.
