How good is China's air defence coverage?

Ukraine war has shown Air Defence is the most important aspect of warfare at the moment, when it comes defending against air attacks from fighters, drones and missiles.

Does China have homegrown s-400 level system? How many units of HQ-9 does China have, which is equivalent to s-300?
check out the PLA Anti-Air Missile (SAM) systems thread.

S-400? Probably HQ-9B or C but I don't know too much about SAMs.

What the "Ukraine war has shown"...... is that Military experts are very bad at predicting the next war.

Before the war in Ukraine, most mainstream military analysts were convinced the days of 100,000 infantry men in Europe dug into trenches while supported by artillery is a relic of the past that we will Never see again. They were wrong.

How much do we know about the radar and electronics used in 4.5 and 5th gen Chinese fighters?
I’m new here, sorry if the topic had been discussed already.

All recent Chinese 4.5 and 5th gens use AESA radar. This includes the J-16, J-10C, and the J-20.
If you want actual performance statistics, the best available are the ones known from export fighters like the JF-17 and J-10CE.

You can also expect these aircraft to have glass cockpit.

Thank you. I did try reading about the radar for JF-17 and J-10CE but generally found conflicting informations. I believe J-10ce has a 1200 T/R AESA, is that info correct?

So I've run across the idea of aircraft intercepting incoming cruise missiles a few times, for instance in

talking about representing and optimizing it mathematically. But how would that work in practice? Does an aicraft just come by and fire off air-to-air missiles in a 1:1 ratio for incoming cruise missiles? It seems like a waste to use something like a PL-12 or AIM-120 for a subsonic target on a predictable trajectory. Guns are obviously more efficient but would require them to get much closer, and modern aircraft don't carry much ammunition.

The cost isn't the AAM used to shoot down the CM but the cost of losing whatever it was aimed at if you don't.

Does it seem plausible that with the introduction of GaaFET, Fighter Jets and Tanks are going to use A100/H100 like Chips, since GaaFET is going to be significantly more radiation and G-Force resistant without requiring special modifications like radiation hardening.
