7 crashes for Saudi's CH-4 drones since 2021 what is the main reason behind these ,is it because of lack of training or CH-4 Failure to defend itself ?
Please note i am asking this question only for educational purposes and by no mean i am trying to troll!
Saudis have been at war for the last few years with several nations/groups. Their equipments being used to the fullest. I mean Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Israel have been losing top tier tanks (leopard 2s, M1s, and merkava 4s respectively) to various groups financed by adversarial nations or in Saudi's case, Yemeni forces.
All of them have been losing drones in the dozens because when you go to war you lose equipment. Israel lost an f-16 shot down by adversary forces. Turkey lost more drones than observers can count.
American made drones also dropping everywhere like flies. It's what happens with war. You end up using equipment. I mean India loses dozens of aircraft every year during peacetime. Not trying to troll but just putting it into perspective. So far the CH-4 drones have been some of the best performers compared to American, Israeli, and Turkish counterparts participating in similar or the same conflicts.
As for losing 7 drones in one year, Saudi operations have really ramped up. They're not entirely careful with his they use drones. For example they fly drones well within missile range. That's their choice and they seem to operate like they have a lot of funding which they certainly sort of do. So essentially a combination of being at war with at least two adversaries - Yemen and Iran (with various groups) and choosing to operate their equipment particularly unmanned ones with a bit less care for whether it gets attacked or not.
Maybe with the way they choose to operate their unmanned drones, if they were operating indian ones (not that India has even been able to make any), they would have lost 70 indian drones instead of 7.
