No, airborne division for example is under PLAAF which have some compulsory service. But again, the overall number of compulsory is pretty low in the entire pla these days

As far as I read, PLA gets so many volunteers that it doesn't have to put anyone into compulsory service. This is to be expected since China has 1.4 billion people with an Army of 2 million, about 0.14%.
True, but compulsory service is still in the book, local governments have to make some effort every year...
but far as I know, compulsory service this day is register based, so yeah... you are compulsory if you registered, otherwise you are not... and even you are registered, it’s not necessarily means you are in list, more like you are in the waiting list...
These are don't look like Flankers.
They don't have the 'sloped' two-seater cockpit of the Flankers. And they have refueling probes on the front right of the cockpit. Those look like two-seater J-10s. Like the photo below:
Also interesting note, the TV presenter calls the J20 5th generation, not 4th generation.
This implies that J-8II may be regarded as a generation on its own (similar to Mig-23):
1st generation: J-5
2nd generation: J-6, J-7, J-8I
3rd generation: J-8II
4th generation: J-10, J-11
5th generation: J-20
Versus the original classification:
1st generation: J-5
2nd generation: J-6, J-7, J-8I, J-8II
3rd generation: J-10, J-11
4th generation: J-20

I think the simplest explanation is, he only used the regular non-Chinese classification.
Yeah it’s not like in China they don’t use these different classifications pretty fluidly.
Don't trust the presenter. They are not from the military, nor the industry, their presentations are often not screened for accuracy by PLA or AVIC.
