Kimi Code scores better and uses fewer token. That's good stuff

from my own testing, it looks fine, but I was already happy with 2.6, so this doesn't do all that much for me. I did tell it to make some scripts better and it did that.
I'm just a bit disappointed with Kimi still nvidia-pilled. Having said that indeed Kimi as a model is excellent, I can confidently put it above Gemini pro

Dario called for regulation of models, well he got what he wanted?

I mean yes unironically this is what he wanted, they seem to think that RSI is soon and that their lead is soon to be permanent, that and mythos is the first step to this victory, that the IPO is simply a means to an end. Money doesnt really matter if you win, while I have alot of problems with this argument, unfortunately mythos is genuinely extremely good and an actual step change in ai akin to when ai models first actually got good at coding.

Frankly I don't trust any of these morons to either know the truth or tell it truthfully, but it's nonetheless funny to see them infighting.

The White House imposed export controls on Anthropic’s powerful Mythos AI model partly over suspicions that a China-linked group had accessed it, a person familiar with the matter said. The Trump administration on Friday

to limit access to Mythos, and its consumer version, known as Fable 5, to US citizens. That meant that even Anthropic employees who are foreign nationals would have been prohibited from using the models. Anthropic chose to remove the models from the market completely.

On Saturday, an adviser to President Trump, David Sacks, in a

shed new light on the events leading up to the White House decision to implement the export controls. Sacks said that the government received a warning that Fable 5 could be jailbroken. When the Trump Administration notified Anthropic of the jailbreak, Anthropic co-founder and CEO Dario Amodei said the jailbreak was not a serious risk and refused to fix it, Sacks alleged. Anthropic released Fable 5 to the public earlier this week — a version of Mythos with guardrails that prevent its use for cybersecurity purposes. A jailbreak is a way to remove the guardrails of an AI model.

A person close to the White House said Amazon informed the government about the jailbreak, and that its CEO, Andy Jassy, had been in contact with members of the administration about it. Sacks said the administration reluctantly issued the export controls, which required Anthropic to only allow US citizens access to Mythos and Fable. Those requirements caused Anthropic to revoke access to the models for everyone. An Anthropic spokesperson said the White House didn’t raise Chinese access to Mythos in its conversations around the Fable jailbreak and export controls. The AI company prohibits access to its products from within China.

It does seem plausible that Mythos demonstrates improved capability—albeit far short of doomsday nonsense—there are genuine security concerns around that, and Trump being Trump is dealing with a real problem in an incredibly stupid and self-destructive way.

Well, if I were to be generous I'd say this could be their engineered excuse to shutdown their Mythos scam / "pause AI development" to cut cost without looking bad for IPO.

But going by Halon's Razor yeah it's probably just Darios forgetting how dumb US politicians are, and he really should have disclosed just how critically dependant American AI is on Chinese engineers.

I mean unless they come up with a new narrative to undo the ban, they've basically just capped American AI to Opus 4.8 forever, lol

Let's be real American officials will probably believe Mythos' alive if it tells them "I am alive".

Here's the thing, there might actually be secret classified models that are far more capable than what the public is aware of, e.g. there's no reason to believe Chinese AI companies always open source their latest model on day 1, but the fact that the public IS aware of Mythos and it's being hyped means Mythos isn't a secret more capable model, Mythos is just IPO hype that's now backfired.

Yeah im pretty sure China already has Mythos tier, but obviously not gonna open weight release it yet....

Dario screwed himself here by hyping up the danger and calling for regulation
