this seems a little alarming

The government of Shanghai, China's market and business capital, has compiled a first batch of "ordinary data" in three sectors - intelligent and connected vehicles, mutual funds and biomedicine. These require the least regulation for data transfers, the government document says.
so basically America wants access in these sectors. If the last one doesn't alarm you, then it really should

but so far at least for auto sector, they are not allowing export of anything that's too sensitive
For the auto sector, the data includes information involving manufacturing such as procurement and stockpile, research and development including auto design and tests, after-sales services and used car sales.

Count down before that biomedicine data goes directly to fueling American bioWMDs against China.

Do you have the specifics? What biomedicine data will be allowed out? My BMI, what green tea does to me in the morning?

What America requested for and what China allows to get out are two different things. The question is why does America push for biomedicine?

I don't particularly see anything alarming about biomedicine that's more alarming than the others. Biomedicine data is quite valuable for designing drugs, designing trials etc.

The bigger question in general is whether there is a centralized way of storing data and negotiating its use or trade of data in a way that is consistent with central government interests.
