Those are the guys that were crying safe, safe, safe, guardrails, ethics, etc just few months ago...they even had the ethics manager! All their paper castle fall down as soon as $ were in danger and serious competition knocked at the door
Of course there is no ethics here, it's all business as usual hidden, until yesterday, by just a very thin veneer of rhetoric.

It's always been that way. They play the ethics canard when they have the clear upper hand in whatever topical matter of importance. When their self-declared enemies manage to overcome and surpass their respective products/tech etc...then they shift the goalposts along with the convenient narrative to support their b.s.
Given how "well" their video generator simulate physics and how "accurate" their diffusion model represents the real world, I can't wait to see the Lovecraftian Nightmarish Monstrosities that the "sane" people of the internet are going to create with it.
