you have no idea what you are talking about.
I don’t understand where I am wrong in not seeing the value proposition for LLMs. Nvidia for the past couple of months has been trying to justify their stock price by saying that robotics is the next big step. However, outside of Tesla with Optimus (questionable), basically no other US company is even working on this sort of thing. The US cannot do anything cheaper than China, so they have to be ahead. If Chinese companies like Unitree are able to come with better tech than American companies, it’s going to end up as another DJI situation where American companies won’t even be able to break in to the sector, but this time in a significantly more important industry.

4chan getting redpilled wtf is happening to the world?
I think 4chan has liked Chinese models for a while because they’re less censored in certain respects.

"Tencent has unveiled Hunyuan3D-2.0, an upgraded AI creation tool powered by its large language model that enables the creation of high-quality 3D models from prompts and images. Hunyuan3D-2.0 offers big improvements in 3D model generation compared with its predecessor released last year, the Chinese tech giant said today."

Sam Altman also has now scheduled a closed door meeting with top US gov leaders later this weeks.... and at least publicly, gotten a bit more humble since 24 hours ago lol

hmm, I think we are going to have to wait and see what happens here. It's well known that Musk doesn't like Altman so Trump getting elected is possibly an existential issue for OpenAI. Hence, why we have all these efforts to meet with people up top.

You don't understand where LLM is actually being used and how it's being used.

There is tremendous automation and product discovery potentials with LLMs. Now, the AGI advocates are overhyping it. However, dismissing its application is rather silly.

Huggingface from today show deepseek, openbmb and MiniMaxAI as the most popular models. Yeah, Chinese AI firms are really making a big difference in open source AI world.

Deepseek's big contribution was making the entire sauce open. Now, they have the entire AI community behind them.

I'm looking through the models that got released this past 2 weeks. So much multi modal type of models. Specially ones that process and generates audio and video. These are the models that will allow replacement of human assistant and call center workers.

A lot of the current text to speed AI models sound way too robotic. And customers don't like that.
