You can't just "on shore" industry just by saying the word.

To build industry you need roughly speaking 1. Industrial equipment 2. Infrastructure 3. Tech 4. Complete supply chains. 5. Energy.

It takes comprehensive reforms and mass coordinated effort to built a massive industry when you don't have most of these 5 factors.

Erdogan should be given a peace prize, but not for proving them wrong. He should be given it because of the murders and torture he committed towards Turkish civilians opposing his NATO supported rule, following the time honored tradition of the "peace" prize going to killers of civilians opposing NATO such as Obama and Kissinger.
