US GDP growth (4Q21/4Q20): +5.50%
China GDP growth (4Q21/4Q20): +4.0%
China's +4% is on top of +6.5% from 4Q20 while the US is on top of -2.3% 4Q20. China's growing while America's still climbing out of the ditch.

Whole year accounted for, China grew 8.1% of top of 2.2% while the US grew only 5.7% climbing out of -3.4%.

In other words, China = 1.022x1.081=1.105 (10.5% growth) and the US= 0.966x1.057=1.021 (2.1% growth) while China ran its economy normally as the US had to inject so much stimulus that inflation is out of control, young people quit their jobs, and semi-old people retired early. Isn't the big picture so much more telling? ;)
