After nearly two months of operation, the French Navy conducted nearly 400 operational sorties, 80 strike missions and 23 ISR missions. In addition, for 14 days from Eastern Med, between November 23 and December 6, the CSG conducted 130 sorties, 22 strikes and 9 ISR missions over the territories controlled by Daech.

How would you qualify this sortie rate ? To me it doesn't seem that impressive (especially "only" 80 strikes) but CdeG is smaller, smaller airwing, probably less ammo aboard

On February 22, 2016, French Navy (Marine Nationale) aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle left the Persian Gulf to sail back to the Mediterranean. U.S. Navy aicraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman took command on Febrary 14th of the naval forces in the coalition against Daech, the Task Force 50 (TF 50).

Actual intel on ISIL targets is very sparse, and what are targets worthy of an airstrike??? (few and far between) so I would characterize this as a faithful friend joining us and doing yeomen duty to stand in the gap with us, you should be very proud, as I am very proud, and grateful for our French brothers standing with us as we fight these hideous monsters full of hate and violence! thanks for being there, and carrying your share! Possible Rafale M/Navy based soon or later in this area for help AF* which have now 8 Mirage 2000D in Jordania with 2 recently transfered from Niger, 6 Rafale to UAE but far of targets.
Mirage 2000D provide the more big part of airstrikes before with 6, 4 missions for a day 6 on 7 days in surge possible more.

* Now 33.
Ordered 48, 44 received ( 4 lost ) whose 10 to modernized back for 2017 yet 3, 2 new 2016 and after normaly last 2 in 2020 and 2021.
Remains max 17 Super-Etendard whose max 10 in service, last months.

French fighters deployed get an amazing availability 90 % ! ofc aircrafts déployer are privileged the best, more spares in France about 50 %if necessary can increase.

For sorties from CDG about same as last deployment in 2015 10/15 for a day ISIS is not a true Army less targets, small.

For some interested ...look Mamouth and next Raids Aviation ;)

Check out this photo of USS John C Stennis taken back in 2013...look at that flight deck. It is teeming with activity. the flight deck is getting ready for a re--spot of aircraft after the recovery of aircraft.
