Presence of the KJ-500 makes it seem more like an exercise than delivery? Also, isn't it more likely to ferry the J-10s from China to Egypt instead of disassembling and freighting the parts over by Y-20?

Or maybe this is just the support equipment?
Flying a squadron of 4.5th gen fighters in Egyptian Air Force livery over most of Eurasia, ferry flight or not, could seem aggressive and be unnecessarily problematic.

What's more interesting is the KJ-500. An insurance policy against US/Israeli sabotage? Like a stealth suicide drone?

Egypt's F-16s are supported by a fleet of US made E-2C AEWs, which implies that a reasonable chunk of the Egyptian Air Force's C4ISR infrastructure are built around US made communications equipment.

So if Egypt wants its military's newest toys to be free of persistent US surveillance, acquiring the KJ-500 to complement the J-10CE makes complete sense.

It's likely 7x Y-20s by now.

Interesting presence of a KJ-500 at Egypt as well.

KJ-500 is probably there to demonstrate the kill chain in case they are interested in integrated system. I guess they want to keep it as non-threatening as possible? Basically don’t make a huge fuss until the deal is closed.

This all is based on what? Yes, 5 Y-20s and a KJ-500 visited Egypt, but to call it „A Fantasy Made Real“ we lack any evidence

I'm usually on the wait and see team and I agree we are perhaps being a bit hasty this time as well but it has to be admitted this is a fairly unusual situation. It seems they weren't there as part of an exercise with how quickly they left. Perhaps they weren't there to deliver J-10CE but rather some other weapons Egypt bought but hasn't announced yet? Other than a weapons delivery I don't see how this situation makes sense but we don't really have hard evidence it was J-10CE yet.

and I think it’s a repeat of the JF-17 story before the link 17 was ready the PAF made the choice to go with ZDK-03 AWACS for 4 units

after all at that time Erieye was not compatible with Chinese systems after link 17 the ZDK -03 became redundant but maybe now a EW aircraft as per the latest news

Egyptian J10s will need situational awareness and China has moved onto the KJ-700 AWACS so it won’t compromise the latest Chinese technology

big news if true

Here is the answer. 5 Y-20s and the KJ-500 are for a Joint Egypt-China Air Force Training.

Official Announcement from DoD:

根据中国和埃及军队共识,4月中旬至5月上旬,中国人民解放军空军将派分队赴埃及举行中埃“文明之鹰-2025”空军联合训练。这是中埃两军首次组织联训,对推动两军务实合作、增进两军友谊互信具有重要意义。

The announcement says, it's the first time to conduct Joint Drill between China & Egypt. PLAAF will send units to participate. The drill will last from mid April till early May.

Problem is, is this a cover project to secretly transfer J-10CE, or just a normal drill?

Do we have PLAAF's transfer pattern in previous oversea drills? Did they used so many Y-20 at a time before? (For now, it's 7)

Meanwhile, in DoD post's comment section, some suggest Egypt's J-10CE deal has been canceled, converting to acquire South Korea's FA-50? Is that true?

Why do you think that's the case?

Apart from rumors and claims, until now we don't even have any official announcements of a J-10CE deal with Egypt. Hence, entertaining the news in such way is basically picking at nothing to fuss about.
