Has Iran lost anything in this ceasefire?
Some people say that the U.S. can obtain supplies, but during the war, the U.S. camp’s weapons production capacity was not restricted, and it could be rapidly transported worldwide; on the other hand, Iran’s own weapons production capacity was limited due to the bombing.
Some say Iran has lost morale because it compromised at this critical juncture, naively believing the aggressors’ crude lies? Iran has not compromised; it has clearly laid out the conditions for a permanent ceasefire and demonstrated to the entire world its sincerity in seeking a peaceful resolution to the Middle East conflict. On the contrary, the United States and Israel are still scheming to tear up the ceasefire agreement and preparing for the next round of slaughter. The world has clearly witnessed the vicious, hypocritical, and ugly true nature of the United States and Israel.
How could the Iranians not be aware of the hypocrisy of the United States and Israel? Especially since China has also been pushing for this ceasefire agreement—China’s strategic understanding is among the best in the world, and its decision-makers would certainly not believe that the United States is sincerely seeking peace, much less peddle false hopes of peace to Iran. It is therefore clear that the Iranians are well aware that this ceasefire will not last.
Faced with two military superpowers intent on genocide, Iran has no chance of winning this war through soft power; what is currently forcing the U.S. to retreat is Iran’s formidable arsenal of missiles and drones. Iran’s blockade of the Strait of Hormuz and its destruction of military and energy facilities belonging to the United States, Israel, and their allies require no legal authorization; these actions are entirely supported by Iran’s military hard power. A two-week lull will not alter the military balance between the two sides in any way; it will merely lead to a swift end to the ceasefire, followed by a return to the previous state of strait blockades and drone and missile strikes.
Israel will continue to face Iranian airstrikes with no means of intercepting them; U.S. weapons will remain in short supply; the Navy will still be unable to approach Iran; and ground forces will dare not advance. Moreover, the hypocritical and ugly true nature of the United States and Israel will once again be exposed to the world.
