2026 Iran War Strategy and Analysis

Diplo is over, iran says they arent negotiating with US through intermediaries.

I am kinda surprised as I thought Iran would want to drag the diplo on anyways. The longer the strait is closed, the more pressure on trump without firing a shot(figuratively) .

oil stock go up again

America has already fired the first and second shots. Zero point in continuing diplomacy if the other side is shooting again.

Iran already made a mistake not responding forcefully to the first ceasefire breach by the Americans and here we have them doing more strikes. Any more weakness from Iran will only invite more and bolder attacks by the Americans.

Iran has fired back for the subsequent attacks but the ceasefire mostly held(disregarding Lebanon). So I thought this would be new normal which still mostly benefitted Iran hence I thought they would want to drag on the negotiation.

I also think it has a better world image for Iran if trump ends the talk.

does world image really matter? or are we mindlessly aping the cult of the not-so-rules-based-order?
I would argue at a certain point it does matter, Trump terrible international image and diplo certainly prevented any western nations helping him in Iran.

It is a not a zero-sum that only image matters or image doesn't matter.

Iran may still have some initiatives to use against the Americans and Israel if an agreement isn't signed – which, in my opinion, won't happen because American diplomacy is incompetent and tries to achieve unrealistic goals.

All of these initiatives involve control of the Strait of Hormuz. The idea of capitalizing on control of the Strait of Hormuz is too powerful to pass up this opportunity. There are ways to use this control strategically to strengthen security.

1st - I wouldn't just charge a toll for the country's reconstruction. I would charge additional fees to all countries that impose sanctions on Iran, creating economic incentives for the sanctions to be lifted.

2nd - Furthermore, I would charge additional fees to countries that threaten Iran by hosting American military bases, creating incentives for these bases to be reduced or eliminated altogether.

3rd - Last but not least, it would impose higher tariffs on countries that sell their oil passing through the Strait of Hormuz in dollars, which would ultimately eliminate American interests in the region. The goal would be to end the petrodollar system, thus ending direct American interests in the Gulf.

recent developments really shows how weak Iran has became both economically and militarily, it seems Iran also badly wants an out on the blockade

Who cares more for their life? A rich man or a poor guy.....what else can you sanction Iran with further? Nothing to lose, a billionaire has more to lose compare to a 1 dollar guy right. Just get into a knife fight, you poke him, he is dead and his billion gone. I would say Iran should target those palaces, hotels, these buggers living in those inviting the US to set their bases in their country....first bomb these a*ssholes houses if they don't obey your commands. They think they fear US attacking them....they should fear Iran finishing them off as well....put some threats and fear into these people. You think Trump can finish you off......I'm sure Khamenei can also do the same to you. You gotta to put fear into this people. Trump and Nentayahu also got their beloved family members...put some fear into them. Tell them, if IRGC don't get them this time, next time...will get them the same...doesn't matter the time. Blood shall be repaid in blood. Who knows, 1 day, Baron will get blown up by a suicide bomber...who knows. He thinks he is a tough guy, talking nonsense behind the US presidency...and there are plenty of history, US president can be killed easily by a gunman. So don't talk nonsense or act tough.
