In the previous press conference, there was a special emphasis on showcasing new equipment.

And when the leaked images first appeared, some interpretations suggested, at best, that the leadership was concerned about the future geopolitics and needed to display some new weapons for deterrence.

At worst, some speculated that war might be imminent before 2029, making this potentially the last military parade in 2020s or before new Victory Day. To some extent, I was influenced by these discussions.

Me after the trio’s paid program: the display of these equipment and the Victory Day parade were perfectly appropriate—neither excessive nor urgen, everything is going according to plan

I always take a white analyst with a grain of salt. They always downplay everything so they can maintain their white nationalistic image. They think the white world order is the end game or the peak of humanity forever.

Well, Park Chunghee's daughter (then president) attended the 2015 parade, so even if President Lee decides to show up, it would just be a continuation of status quo and return to a more amicable Sino-ROK Relations.
