Slight correction: There are actually Y-20A and YY-20, not Y-20A and Y-20.

And if the above information is accurate, the J-35 variant in service with the PLAAF will have the designation "J-35A".

The right column seems to show either "static display" or "dynamic/static display".

Does "dynamic/static display" imply some sort of active flying demonstrations for J-16, J-20, J-35A, JL-10, etc.?

In fact I’m a bit surprised that the list mentions a Y-20 and Y-20A and not the B?

As he listed wrote, it is "Y-20A" and "YY-20" based on the left hand column with the Chinese characters.

The "Y-20" is likely a typo, and for these kind of lists the English versions are usually not ideal, and should defer to the original Chinese text.

Putting it another way, it is likely the aircraft which we will see are the usual Y-20A and the usual "YY-20" (what we call "YY-20A") that has already been shown before.

I think people were being a bit hopeful to expect Y-20B with WS-20 to show up.

However it could be that the Y-20 they have listed is in fact the Y-20A - since there is no Y-20 in service - and so the Y-20A listed "could" maybe be the Y-20B?

My friend, a girl majored in law and never interested in military or airplanes, just told me she got a ticket for professional day.
(a gift from organizer)
I envy her ticket too much to sleep so I post it here especially for Deino. ;)

Deino, I am saying that you should ignore the English language column because they typed it out incorrectly.

The original text on the left in Chinese is the original text which takes precedence.
运-20A in English is translated as "Y-20A"
运油-20 in English is translated "YY-20" -- however they mistakenly wrote it as "Y-20" rather than "YY-20"

====

Additionally --- my advice for PLA watching is always that if there is "uncertainty" in terms of names or possibilities, then one is obligated to assume the "less exciting" option is more likely.
In this case, it seems pretty cut and dry to me that the aircraft they're referring to is the usual D-30 powered Y-20A, and the usual D-30 powered YY-20 refueller (which we sometimes call YY-20A), simply by accepting that the right hand column's "Y-20" is a typo.

If we end up seeing the WS-20 powered Y-20B at Zhuhai then great. However it's easier for everyone just to have no expectations and don't look forward to anything interesting.

I basically agree with you on everything, but your sense of reality is sometimes incompatible with my euphoria and anticipation. ;) :p

In this case, there is simply no reason to think that "Y-20 could mean Y-20B".

The Chinese language text is basically 100% conclusive at this stage -- the "Y-20" they wrote should have been "YY-20". They made a mistake.

i am really intrigued by this new integrated surveillance and attack UAV. Very interesting to see all the drone displays in general.
