I live in the SF bay area, and I agree with the assessment that a lot of Asians are turned off from the Dems right now. The number one reason is safety. Anti-Asian hate crime happens once in a blue moon, but robbery and thefts is a daily occurrence. We only hear about Asian hate crime on the news, but every single one of us knows numerous people who are or have personally been victims of thefts and robberies. There are other issues, such as affirmative action being essentially against Asian interests, or conservative Asian values not aligning with the transgender agenda, but those are minor things.

People care most about things that directly affect their own lives, and safety is number one with economy being number two. You'll see DAs all across California getting voted out, and any politician in any major metropolitan area who doesn't take a tough on crime stance will get voted out as well. Too bad my own county's DA isn't up for re-election this time around, the nerve of her to oppose Prop 36 which allows for more severe punishment for drug and theft crimes. It's the one Proposition that passed in every single county, with a supermajority of >70% of the votes. She sure stood on the wrong side of that fight.

My overall assessment of the California area is that in general, people don't want to vote Republican for fear of standing with the overtly racist and generally intolerant Republican far right. However, they're primed for a change within the Democratic party. That means they're no longer gonna tolerate candidates who are soft on crime. That will take precedent over everything else. The gender wars get a lot of publicity, but IMO that simply doesn't factor into most people's voting decisions because at the end of the day, it just doesn't affect most people's lives.
Nailed it. Personal safety is highest priority. Not getting robbed daily > not getting rare hate crime > economic well being > ideological issues like trans

China already predicted this. From what I seen on Weibo so did many users. It's almost like they wanted Trump to win. It shows how much American academia etc has declined. China can afford to be more objective.

I said Trump would win in this threads poll for mainly two reasons.

1.Trump is actually the safer choice. He has already been president for 4 years. We know what he has done and how he acts. The idea that all this magical new stuff would happen when he comes back shows how easy it is to brainwash people when Harris has no track record whatsoever.

2.Early voting data was really bad for Harris. Leads were far less or even no leads when democrats always win the early stuff. Unless she magically finds even more last minute voting ballots than Biden, she's screwed.

Great. Next time I will use them as reference to win at polymarket.

The number one issue for Americans was the economy. The problem Kamala Harris had was she did not distinguish herself from Biden. For all what Americans knew was her policies were going to mirror Biden's. Despite the spin the economy was doing well, inflation was up not down like Biden was claiming. Yeah for business inflation might've gone down but they didn't pass it down to the consumer aka voter. On tariffs Biden kept Trump's tariffs and added more. That says to Americans Trump was right. The problem from the beginning was Biden trapped Democrats into the false narrative that Trump was right on the economy by following it. The fact is Americans weren't going to feel the effects, if any, of the Chips Act in one term. Biden blocked 60% of the world semiconductor industries' business from China. What country was going to replace it? They ain't going to be able to replace it quickly and certainly not in one term. They say an indicator that the economy is doing well is a healthy car industry because how many people it employs down the line of production from different companies that make the parts that go into making a car. Don't they say that about the chips industry how so many entities are involved in making chips and how China can't go it alone? And the US knocked off 60% of chip industry's business. Those chips are going to be more expensive in which less money is going to be made which in turn means less jobs.

And so Trump is preferred, the man that recognized Jerusalem as the capital. Wonderful. Let's get real here, there's no candidate that will openly support Palestinians at the expense of Israel. Even if a Muslim American is running for president they'll openly support Israel.

I have no doubt in my mind that his morbid love for Trump and the low standards that people hold him to compared to others will be a case study for many years.
Well yeah, both candidates worship Isreal both support the same policies and foreign policies. It literally doesn't matter who is in charge. At the end of the day, they are both mass murderous imperialists who will happily watch children die. For example, Harris herself stated that she will enact stronger border policies than the ones Trump suggested. She has also stated that she will ensure that the US is the most lethal fighting force in the world. Harris was basically just a blue “Trump”. They’re the same, so it doesn’t matter who wins.

At the end of the day America is a settler colonial nation it is going to be racist and murderous to its core and it will typically support other colonial nations if it is in its interest to do so. The American ruling class is composed of a mixture of fascists and billionaires they will always support each other regardless of what “race” they are.

No. The real issue is they murdered Peanut the Squirrel in cold blood. Everyone voted Trump after this.
