Two shots per mount of this particular model. It is probably a cheaper variant as the mount seems to be able to rotate meaning there is no 360 coverage requiring rotating to the direction where danger is high. So, two shots? I though those were smoke launchers, but it would be easily enough to simply stack more on the mount, there's obviously a lot of room for expansion.
This one is called GL-5 if i remember correctly. It was demonstrated live few years back. Then no news after. Two shots per mount of this particular model. Here is a 2 x 3 mount. Two in one canister to counter one incoming projectile. There are four of them mounted on four corners giving 360 degrees coverage. It is on fixed mount, so the launch is instantaneous.

Yes it is GL-5 demonstrated 2017. At the time as I read, PLA was not enthusiastic of the whole APS idea, probably still not due to its danger to unprotected infantry, or all infantry has to fight from inside IFV. I personally share the concern of PLA, APS may be more suitable for urban warfare like in Syria and Ukraine when your own infantry isn't all around your tank but your enemy is everywhere. This one is called GL-5 if i remember correctly. This simplified variant seems to indicate that PLA is still not committed, but NORINCO is trying to finance the development work by foreign sales.
I agree, it looks like this particular model can also pivot up and down so may possibly also defend against top down projectiles.I don't think that the new APS (two shot APS on rotating turret) is simpler than the GL-5, I would actually say it is more complex and more capable.
