NFT is not the future, in fact it is a derivative of the crypto scam which itself is nothing more but speculative bubble of pumping up accounting units of an less than worthless accounting system/platform... Tulip mania without the Tulip
NFT is no different than a Star Registry. Back some decades ago it was all the fad... people were buying stars and naming them after their loved ones.... some of the more popular stars were costing thousands of dollars and there was even an aftermarket trading of the stars etc...
But no one owned a star, and you buying a star didn't prevent other people from enjoying seeing that same star... it was just you paying money to put your name in someone elses registry book...
NFT is exactly the same scam.... you buy a jpeg image doesn't prevent others from downloading/viewing/having the exact same jpeg image. All it does when you buy the NFT is that it etches your name in the blockchain database to 'register' that you bought it, nothing less and nothing more.... you don't even get exclusive copyrights/trademark of the image that you bought!
And an extension of this is the new Virtual Real Estate craze....
