Not exactly, the evil commies trope is just a contributing factor to their attitude. I think they are just sinophobe in general. Everything they perceive to be Korean shall be Korean and Korean only, unless it has connection to the west, but definitely not connection to those diry, scheming, red, Chinese commies.

China should complain to Canada for following the US lead, for not using Huawei telecom equipment. But these athletes are still using their smartphones in China, which is using Huawei's world leading 5G network.

Didn’t the Epoch Times say that all the athletes in Beijing Olympics were actually CGI? How would they reconcile that with the fact? Maybe they thought they were dreaming about the whole thing so they were more liberal with the scoring?
