48hours and I am missing the games, still going through "cold turkey" I have never felt like that since Beijing 2008. I fear China will never host another games in my lifetime. I'm contemplating in having a holiday in China preferably during the winter at the first opportunity.

The next rotation for the Summer Olympic Games in Asia is the 2046

I see that as a toss up between China and India.

The bidding process for 2036 right now is crazy. I think if China doesn't win the 2036 summer games (which I do think is probably likely ie. likely they'll not get it) they'll get the 2040 games. Certainly though, if you look at the 2036 bids... there's a lot of Chinese cities that want to host the 2036 games and if these Olympics are any indication, China has proven that it can pull off a really successful one.

Plus, if its in Chengdu, there's a lot of Pandas around too.

I don't think it'll be in India, I think Germany - Israel will get it. The optics for the IOC is just too good to pass up.

I do think China will get to host another Olympics sooner rather than later though.

The germany israel will be a disaster logistically, they should just do it in tel aviv alone.

Also for India to win they need to prove themself and host a smaller event (youth olympics?) succesfully as the commonwealth games were kinda eehhhh.

My persona favorite would be egypt (well china first but I'd say the chances are very slim atm)

Hmmm, Brazil and Greece hosted the Olympics without a track record of hosting large multi sporting events. On that basis India may have a good chance in the 2040's.

" Is there a way they can repurpose Bing Dwen Dwen as a regular sports mascot? It'll be a real shame if they retire it after just two weeks."

Why cant they reintroduce Bing Dwen Dwen in the coming Para Olympics?
