Then there's Norway who's just a skiing monster.
This just goes to show how much a well designed program and good staff and facilities matter.

There's no reason for Norway to be so much better than Sweden or Finland, or for Netherlands to be so much better than Belgium or England.

Quality of their program is top-notch.

Something to learn from.

Norway and Sweden have mountain slopes but Finland has swamps but no slopes . That is why they compete in ice hockey.

Elevation difference for cross country skiing/biathlon/Nordic combined is not more than 100m.

What you did was a... uhh... slippery slope logical fallacy.

Also, Norway has zero gold medals in alpine skiing, the only skiing variant that requires a large hill.

Neither Sweden nor Norway are good at alpine skiing despite them having mountains

Switzerland (5) and Austria (2) have the most gold medals in alpine skiing.

Naturally.

The FIS Ski World Cup is held in the Alps.

That's why they're the best countries at alpine skiing.

That's why I earlier posted that the FIS Ski World Cup needs to be held in Asia and North America.
