The issue is dual citizenship. That is, holding citizenships from two countries at the same time. There is only person that is right here, and that is me. Because it is the Chinese law: no dual citizenship.

I want to make it absolutely clear. There should be no muddy water here. By the way, I have long advocated that China should allow dual citizenship, or at least in the model of NRI (Non-Resident Indian). The current no-dual-citizenship law is too rigid and no longer in China's best interest. An interesting but separate topic.

No doubt and of course you are the only one that right ;) keep thinking that way

Chinese are really good at synergies when embarking on expensive undertakings. We always look for fringe benefits or reuses. So it is no surprise that Beijing 2008 venues got a fair amount of reuses, besides pumping up real estate values around venues. I bet this Winter game will bring its own fringe benefits to surrounding areas. After becoming the only city for both summer and winter games, it is time for China to sit back and give other countries more chances to demonstrate their own Olympic spirits.

If Chinese leaders know everything happen in the future, they will not waste this huge amount for these sports, instead, they will use that amount to invest in aviation and electronics
These sports do have their uses. And let's not forget that simply dumping money into projects won't solve everything. I mostly like the way how things have been and are going into the future. Hindsight is 20/20 but all in all, it's been going pretty well for China. And i'm sure like most of you here, I'm very optimistic about China going forward.
