China leads both the gold and total medals at least today. However, it is unlikely to lead the US for long for total medal as track and field has begun.

Disappointing China losing to Chinese Taipei in men’s doubles badminton final. Missed chance of adding another gold medal.
Shouldn't the IOC start a quotas system for athletic? I mean 1, 2 and 3? Yet the IOC started quotas systems for table tennis and badminton which is why we don't see 1, 2 and 3 anymore. Mmmmmm

I guess the USA will be very dominant tomorrow. There are 5 for swimming, 4 for track and field, and 4 for artistic gymnastics.
Apparently the event is held in the same area where Nie Er, the composer of the Chinese National Anthem had drowned. This win has high symbolic meaning since his composition is played over the same patch of sea.

I got to watch only part of the sets where Zhu Ting never played.
By the looks of things i.e the replays of the important points during the match at the end of the game and a well jacketed Zhu Ting busy at giving team support, she probably never played for the whole match.
Nope, I read an article that said since Turkey beat Argentina, even if China wins the next two (including Italy), they will not qualify.
Sad, they are world #2 and former Gold champions....they lost to US, ROC, Turkey...
