Fantastic. Her farher is irish (hence the name) her mother is Chinese. She was born in Hong Kong. And she's the great niece of former Irish prime minister.

She is a fine example of what we were discussing a few days back. It doesn't matter who you are, as long as you are willing to compete for China (exclude mercenary)

From Nury

"I heard that people in Ireland have been thinking about whether they can claim Siobhan for their country, but Siobhan pointed out that she is a Hong Konger and has never lived in Ireland (she went to St Paul's school here in this city) so legally cannot be seen as an Irish person"

Well said Nury, Irish can't have her! Here she is flying her Hong Kong flag proudly!

I was watching the ping-pong match between Chen Meng (China) and Doo Hoi Kem (Hong Kong). It was a very high quality and close match. If this is not the Olympics, and just a regular tournament, I would not have felt what I felt just now. Everytime the Hong Kong player fist pump an intensely won point against Chen Meng, a surge of hatred for Hong Kong went through myself. I was wondering why would a fellow country man or woman be allowed to sabotage the motherland? I was picturing the situation where China and the US are neck in neck in the medals table, and in comes this Hong Kong player, fist pump and all, to tide the balance in the US favour. With the Americans gigling at the back.

You must resist this hatred towards your fellow countryman. As I said before, not every Hong Konger is a traitor like this one. He's now change his shirt.

There are others quite proudly representing Hong Kong, and wearing their official attaire no problem. And look! They all do fist pump whoever their opponents are. It's a way of motivating oneself. Don't forget, within China, there's also sporting competition between provinces and counties etc. And these competitors all do fist pump.

And look at this half Irish lady proudly displaying her Hong Kong flag....... And why not? It is when the used condoms waving their old union Jack Hong Kong flags you should have issue with.

Like I've said, if this is not the Olympics, I'd not be feeling the way I did. Provinces do compete against each other, but they don't do it against the motherland itself. And furthermore, what greater honour can there be than to be representing your own country? I know there are still a lot of baggage to be discarded before Hong Kongers can finally represent China in sporting events, but the sooner this becomes reality, the better it'd be.

You should rejoyce as this traitor got knocked out. Reserve all your hatred towards him.

But there's no way you should hold that feelings of hatred towards our other Olympians, especially one as beautiful as this one. Asian record holder.

And don't forget, she and others are not representing Hong Kong ONLY! They are officially CHINA, HONG KONG. A big difference. Which is why they traitor who lost today refuses to wear the official sporting attaire. He wanted to represent HONG KONG ONLY!

See the difference?

I hope you can read Chinese. If so, look at what she is saying. Don't forget she could've represented Eire on her father side. But she category said she is born and bred Hong Kong. Therefore Chinese.

And finally, do not forget when these Hong Kong athletes wins. The national anthem played will be the same Chinese national anthem.

Not a good idea because.. ...... dare I say it without upsetting our other esteemed member. Quotas! In this way we get more athletes.

Lol. Like I said, they might, just might, have a chance with kabbadi. As far as I'm aware not many countries plays it. Pakistan, Bangladesh?

Don't they already play that at Ladakh? If they win they escape and if not they get clubbed.
