China lost in womens doubles badminton finals

A bit of controversy (indonesian pair squeezing shuttle to get it changed, ball hitting indonesian's knee but fault not called), but overall China pair seemed a bit weaker.

Hopefully it doesn't end up like that day when one diving loss early in the morning jinxed the rest of the golds for the day

Was just hearing about NZ putting a former man in their women’s weight lifting. Got nothing against transgender people, but this is just western wishfully thinking gone way too far!

Semantics and political correctness doesn’t change biology, and unless they introduce peepee-measuring as a new Olympic event, neither would gender re-assignment surgery, since transgender women would still enjoy all of the additional muscle growth they had as adolescents thanks to their male hormones during puberty.

I would say that transgender athletes should not be allowed unless their surgery occurred before puberty.

If they want to compete in the olympics, then can compete in the biological gender they were before their surgery.

It gets quite confusing on the other side of the world. The US was ahead in total medal count the last I saw by 10. Now I see they're only four behind the US. Well the second week of the Olympics isn't favorable to China so I do expect the US in the end to have more medals in total.

Why not just add a separate category for transgendered people. What they are doing reminds me of a story back in the late 90s of how some mentally able footballers pretended that they were mentally challenged just so that they could participate in the Special Soccer Games.
