Su beat the Gold Medalist in SF but came 6th in Finals. So difficult to maintain consistency in this sport. Surely he must be disappointed tho. 9.89 and better would've won him a medal.
Still a big achievement considering you never see Asians there.

Yeah. I was thinking that. Su looked out of place surrounding by black athletes.

I enjoyed watching the women's 3 metre diving in which Shi Tingmao took gold and Wang Han silver. Shi Tingmao seemed to be on different level to her competitors. The serenity on her face before each dive was otherwordly.

Also great to see the success of Australian women Kaylee McKeown, Emily McKeon and Ariarne Titmus in the pool.

I'm watching golf. Because I play golf very badly. Well done to US getting gold. But what I didn't know is this bxxxdy quotas system again until I saw this:

"Without creating an abusive reaction but can someone explain why the USA has 4 players and all other countries have 1-2?"

And a reply from someone:

"You can have up to 4 players if they are ranked in the top 15 in the world, otherwise you can only have 2"

If this is the case, it stinks, because it looks like if your country is good, you can have more competitors?! Which is the opposite to table tennis and badminton!

Gee.

He gave it his all to make it to the finals, which is history making. His start seemed to be slower than before, but that's what happens when you go 110% in the semi's. This is why it's hard to make the podium, semi's and finals are on the same day.

Just making it to the finals should be celebrated. I think the only thing that would've elevated this to a whole 'nother level is if he actually won. This is probably the top 1 or 2 most competitive high profile Men's events out there.
