I noticed as Cao Yuan went to hug every member of the Chinese team, and as he was approaching Yang Jian and saw him going off to the shower, Cao Yuan didn't bother to try calling out to Yang Jian, as if he kinda expected this reaction. Maybe they do have a deeper rivalry than we are aware.

Ahh... but anyway, we're just imperfect humans with emotions, so as long as it didn't affect the team, it's ok I think.

An Olympics comes around every four years and they dedicate their lives to this. Losing by 2 points on a final dive of 112 points is kind of heart breaking.

Yeah it looks impossible but never say never. Israel is looking like going to beat Russia in rhythmic gymnastics. Which I thought is close to impossible. Russia dominated this event for so long and seem unbeatable. Anything is possible now in artistic swimming. China is pretty close.

A German modern pentathlon coach has been thrown out of the Tokyo Olympics for punching a horse during competition.
Kim Raisner was trying to assist German athlete Annika Schleu as she battled to control Saint Boy ahead of her show jumping round in the women’s event on Friday.
