- As per some report (yet to be confirmed) it was PAF Mirage which went into Indian Airspace into aerial bombing mission and lure the Indian Jets into Pakistani air space
- Crux of official stance of Pakistan is we have the Capabilities, Capacity and Political will to retaliate and escalation but not at the cost of regional peace, we deliberately chose open space near defence installation of Indian forces (supply depots) to convey the same message. Now all is dependent of Indian response as we only retaliate their aggression

This proves nothing of the capability of PAF or JF-17. Not that I am saying those are not capable. But China does not want any sort of war with India, even one it can win with zero losses. India is not some sort of mortal enemy of China and China isn't one for India either. At least things are not that bad. China benefits from Indian market. Why hurt that? Shooting your own foot and biting the hand that feed you (sorry about the cliches) can be left to the experts.
Those old electronic equipment on the Su-30MK are thoroughly understood by China since PLAAF were one of the first customers with the MKK. Also uses older pulse doppler radars that are easy to totally defeat by any capable airforce.
Should wait for some third party statements. There's probably plenty of fake news out there but it seems like Pakistan is parading around the IAF pilot they captured. The Indians claim they shot down an F-16 but then again these media guys also claimed their Su-30MKI is able to detect, track, and freaking identify J-20 from hundreds of kilometers away AND have the superior radar technologies to confirm to their pilot that the J-20 isn't wearing a luneberg
can't even make this shit up sober. The scary part is the fanboys believed that easily debunkable lie. So exaggerated and BS stories have been an Indian media specialty. That's an undeniable fact. Whether Pakistani media acts the same remains to be seen. Whether or not Pakistan managed to shoot down any Mig-29 or Su-30 of IAF remains to be confirmed by both sides officially. Indians probably will never admit such things seeing as elections are close and how their media and the BJP currently operate.JF-17 able to take out Mig-21s is nothing to celebrate. As arrogant and stupid as American fanboys celebrating their F-15's "unblemished" record... against vastly inferior fighters operating with close to zero networked support. Celebrating such an "achievement" ought to be embarrassing... like an 18 year old celebrating graduating from elementary school. If MKI and/or Mig-29 kills are confirmed, that's something that goes towards calling JF-17 proven. As usual some are celebrating early and assuming the fighting has ceased or won't be escalated further by India.
