Your official sources may be better in terms of reputation but at this point there is a clear conflict of interest so best not believe anything Pakistan or India say officially
I do not know about that. The JF-17 has not so good thrust-to-weight ratio. Kind of heavy empty weight and the engine thrust is kind of on the low side.
Also the Chinese IR air-to-air missiles it has should be inferior to their Russian counterparts.
With enough numbers things might be different. But current production is not substantial enough.

Sorry but at the moment it is a comprehensively recognised fact that iaf tried to claim photos of mig21 as a downed F16. Proven by falsified serial number which was a different number on the database. Also easily debunked. If Pakistan is lying about downed F16 why on earth will they post photos of their guys around it all over the internet? Sorry that's indian media and bjp level stupidity. They think the whole world is 70 IQ morons. Prove otherwise please. At the moment it seems like F16 was not shot down until we get real evidence it is then we will know for sure. No photo of mig 21 was pass off as F 16 by IAF & India never denied it lost a mig 21 pilot officially while Pakistan has been officially caught lying of having 3 pilot first than 2 in its custody & then settling for only one & no f 16 used lol now shoo!!

Yes they are changing their story. Let me give you a small lesson. Because Pakistan is changing their official story with different sources reporting different things, does not mean everything India is saying is accurate either.
India has officially been caught lying about mig21 wreckage as Pakistani F16. Proven fact. Changed its story of su30mki patrolling the area to no su30mki present in the area. Changed story from one mig lost to Pakistani fire to one mig lost to PAF and one mig lost to accident. LOL tell your media to get its lies in order. Plan it out carefully first. Now shoo.

India should do the following. Officially come out with a concrete black and white statement deatiling everything they know. Provide a photo of amraam with their airforce officials next to it and confirm all text on the missile for verification of origin and nation supplied to so that third parties in US can verify.
If it is confirmed true, a missile from F16 DOES NOT mean shot down F16 like some morons are fallaciously thinking. It does confirm F16 being used. That's it.
They are not issuing any detailed official statement because there's information they want to hide. They want to win the pointless pr victory for a feel good attitude for their masses and avoid embarrassment for Modi and his fellow nationalists. The people who matter probably already have satellite images since these tensions started flaring up a week ago and everyone is observing in silence.
The only reason I can think of for US cooperation in this whole f26 shot down lie, is just to preserve the image of their F16 for possibly indian sale. Imagine the success of their f21 pitch if a mig21 can shoot down an F16.
