I doubt they will send in any SSNs never mind SSBNs.

The only way they would allow so many foreign warships so close to their latest subs is if the subs where tied to the peer and completely shut down. Even then there will be security risks as the nuclear reactors running on standby may still emit compromising acoustic signatures that could be used to track them with. Since we have seen no nuclear subs docked already, they should not be coming.

To sail a sub into the middle of such a gathering of world naval powers would be as good as handing out leaflets detailing their key signatures. If the PLAN does that then some heads should roll.

The Chinese military official has already confirmed a while ago that nuclear subs will be present for the parade, so there's little doubt whether they would show up or not, just which kind.

I'm fairly sure 092SSBN will show up, since she's no longer used for deterrence patrols anymore, there's no risk of leaking any secrets. ;)

I think the PLAN sailors look fine. I was wondering why the USN was wearing their "Dress Blues"(black) uniform. I don't think the seasonal change to white uniforms takes place until May.

A few more photos of the USN sailors at the review can be found here;

Seems like a disaster waiting to happen. White clothes is gonna tremendously highlight accidents.

All navies of this planet Earth have dress white uniforms no matter how impractical it may seem. They are generally used for ceremonial occasions & inspections. Not for heavy work.

Light hearted comment, should have more specific, by pointing out someone will drop some food on clothes and the stains will be captured on camera.
