Perhaps a more interesting question to speculate upon would be: are these VLS cells packing SLCMs destined for fixed ground targets, AShMs and/or AShBMs for attacking moving targets, or a combination thereof?

Both land attack and anti-ship missions should be possible with the VLS tubes (assuming the same as 850mm UVLS cells installed on DDGs), whether that be conducted with subsonic cruise missiles, ballistic missiles or hypersonic missiles.

Some paper proposed a type of modular VLS that multiple missiles can be integrated in one cell. Seems prepared for 095.
Sth similar to APM in Virginia Block V.
