I think they have 2 1130s on either diagonal corner and 2 HQ-10s on the other two diagonal corners so you'll always have at least one gun and one missile platform available no matter from what direction the ship is approached.Such a peculiar 1130 at the starboard stern. Not the first time this has popped up either.
Not what that was about. That particular 1130 appears to be of a different configuration to the regular ones the PLAN has been employing on all the ships that have them. This was first seen on the 054B launched from the Guangzhou shipyard, and now the Shanghai yard has it too.I think they have 2 1130s on either diagonal corner and 2 HQ-10s on the other two diagonal corners so you'll always have at least one gun and one missile platform available no matter from what direction the ship is approached.
They probably deemed it important enough for the stern CIWS radar to get a wider field of view to its left when it rotates that way to swap locations with the EO ball. This wouldn't matter as much on the 054B, or any similar bow configuration, so they probably just had one handy from a batch that was configured that way. Won't be able to tell until we get to see more installations. Not what that was about. More peculiar still is that the one situated aport remains the same model of 1130 as all the other ones.
