Interesting that each piece has a dial at the base. The board is apperantly a sensetive computer screen. It seems that whenever a pice is put at a spot, the identity of the equipment is logged by the computer system. Through computer network, this layout and order can be shared through out the ship instead of walkie-talkie.

Now onto my favorite topic lately: damage control. I'm posting some images for the record, just in case a certain 'journalist' in the future claims that he didn't see watertight doors, airlocks, or damage control equipment on his tour of the ship.

Here you see a TV journalist and Hainan's captain walking through a passage way interspersed with watertight doors and airlocks. Anything painted red and orange has to do with damage control, including foam/fire hydrants, masks against smoke inhalation, extinguishers, hoses, etc. Since the screen captures are taken in sequence, I will not re-label everything in subsequent images, but you get the idea: every few feet there is damage control equipment.
