Probably also able to track and record where every single crew has been. Also for something drops off as easily as an chest tag it's probably not intended to used when someone went overboard.I'm pretty sure the SOS is for getting help aboard the ship, so it's connected to some sort of indoor positioning system onboard, and others can quickly locate where you are on the ship as soon as you press it. Something like UWB is likely the tech behind it.
i have always questioned the usefulness of sending just one MBT at a time via LCAC. a single 075/071 can deliver maximum of 4 (maybe 8?) MBT's per trip.absolutely beautiful, a MBT on a Type 726 LCAC, railings of the LHD visible at the rear so its at the well deck

Because LCACs are used to deliver troops and equipment from the 071 LPDs and 075 LHDs straight to the landing beaches. 071s and 075s will get stranded if they sail too close to those beaches.i have always questioned the usefulness of sending just one MBT at a time via LCAC. a single 075/071 can deliver maximum of 4 (maybe 8?)
