075 LHD thread

I am thinking --- what the hell is this ship on the center. You can see the Type 075 on the left. This ship in the center appears to have a VLS behind the gun, but no VLS in back. It looks like a Type 054A frigate. I think that's the Pakistan 054A/P.

That probably is the launch of the last Type 054A. She has all the launch flags too.

Why not? For every 071 exactly one 075 to work as a team.

This is not how ARGs work, at least not how the only ARGs in the known universe work, those being the ones deployed by the USN, which consist of 1 LHD/LHA, 1 LPD, and 1 LSD. In the future it will be 1 LHD/LHA and 2 LPDs as the Flight II San Antonio class ships starts replacing all the old Whitbey Island and Harper's Ferry LSDs. The analogous setup for the PLAN would be 1 Type 075 and 2 Type 071s. In other words, I think it is far more likely to expect to eventually see half as many 075s in service as 071s.

Have construction of the 3rd LHD started? Q2 is too early for another launch. Or maybe you were thinking of H2.

I don't see a 075 in timepass post. Two vessels and the larger one in the back of the dry dock doesn't have a stern elevator that I can see. And there's a raised section near the bow where a CIWS would sit if we're dealing with a 071.
