Even if found at the Chinese Top81-Forum, this image is surely again from Jane's via Sean O'Connor.
Taken on 29th October this year, it shows not only the impressive progress on the second Type 075 LHD's construction but also what appears to be the first module of the third hull.

Interesting so we will see 2 units side by side
and the Type 071E will follow after the second launch

They will probably build 8 type 075 for their versatility, before the type 071E.
And risk losing business with Thailand? If the first batch is only 3 LHDs then they'll wait for a period of time evaluating the current design before pouring in more money to build more.

Peter2018 is just being silly
They have to enough capacity to build the type 071 for Thailand at the same time. The situation calls for immediate build out of 8 type 075 ships. They new design will be included in the next batch. The first type 71 ships were build at a slow rate. But now they realized they need to speed up the building of the more versatile type 075 ships to cope with rising foreign adversaries.

What situation, is there an immediate expeditionary operation expected that requires 8 LHDs?
IMO it is safer to build a first batch of 3 LHDs, evaluate and improve the design before they build more. They may realize a larger flight deck or a deck edge elevator would be helpful for future upgrades.
