If you look closely on the second image, you can see a tiny white ship next to the replenishing vessel out in the distance. Thought it was an island at first.

There are 2 ships, ship #1 is moving towards ship #2. Ship #2 is too far away to spot in the original photo. Ship #2 could be part of the exercise or a ship from a foreign navy spying on the PLAN ships.

First two minutes of this video shows 071 in action. This is from an exercise conducted recently. I love the sound of the CIWS.
