I expect the Chinese to stop LPD construction in favor of the helicopter carriers (LHD). Unless if for whatever reason the design for those is seriously delayed. In which case they will continue the LPD construction. I doubt they'll idle the construction dry docks.

Well some say that the order is for 8 units

I thinks its 9 that 3 for each fleet

after that we may see LHD 3 units

so a amphibious ready group would consist of 3 x LPD + 1 x LHD per fleet or maybe ESF or SSF might even get 2 ARGs and NSF none we will see

You mean a year?

Anyhow, a year is much less time than it takes for combatants to be commissioned from launch. This can be attributed to the quantity and complexity of sensors and weapon systems of combatants while a Type 071 only has a few self-defence systems, a relatively simple main gun, and a task group command suite.

interesting, I thought 161 was commissioned last year but appears not.

How many 052Ds were commissioned in 2018 then? 3? 118, 155, 131?
