Yes I was agree but how long do we wait another 5 years??2020 !!

Until the PLAN's surface combatant, submarine, and naval aviation fleets can go toe to toe with the opposition to a degree where LCAC's make sense.

So maybe a decade or more. Personally I don't think LCACs are worth all that much to the PLAN within the first island chain, not when they can potentially serially produce Zubrs.

Whhhoooaaa ... if we remember back at the same stage of construction for the fourth one (about mid to late October 2014) it seems we can expect the no. 5 ready in about 3 months (by late April maybe !?).

But just another reply .... if You look at images of the no. 4 where should this no. 5 sit at the shipyard ??

Not sure...

But if you check the google maps view of the shipyard

, you will find two dry dock areas, separated by an area where you can see a building with four distinct blue roof covers. I suspect the southern dry dock is where the just-launched 054A and 071 were located. The dry dock to the north might be where the 5th 071 is located.

On second thought. I think I have been fooled. The images must be of the 4th 071 from months ago and only released today.

By carefully examining the buildings in the background and foreground, I'm pretty sure they are the same dry dock. This can only mean I was mistaken.

Also notice the ship under construction in the foreground in the third photo I posted. It matches the superstructure of the Type 815 ELINT ship, which was under construction alongside the 4th 071.

So yeah, I think it's conclusive that the three photos I posted were of the 4th 071 from months ago.

Now I wish the forum software allowed a longer edit period :(
