A commissioning, naming and flag-presenting ceremony of the new Qujing corvette (hull number 508) of the People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN or Chinese Navy) was held solemnly at Yulin Naval Base located in the Yalong Bay (city of Sanya) on Hainan island. The event means that the vessel is officially commissioned to the PLAN. Qujing is the twenty-sixth

Very good and fast in more !
But allow me no 10th but 12th for South Sea Fleet, in more 7 for NSF and 7 for ESF.
508 homeported to Yangpu 26th Light Frigate Sqn to NW of Hainan island with this new have 3 now.

First time I've seen any semi-official/official Chinese media use the designation 056A rather than just 056. Emphasis below added by me. Any significance?

China commissions new missile frigate Qujing

SANYA, June 11 (ChinaMil) -- The South China Sea fleet of the PLA Navy held on June 8 a ceremony marking commissioning of the new frigate Qujing (hull number 508) at a naval port in Sanya, a port city in China's island province Hainan.

The Type 056A frigate Qujing, with a full displacement of over 1,300 tons, is developed and built by China independently. It has a good stealth performance and is capable of attacking aircrafts, surface ships and submarines independently or in coordination with other naval forces.

Qujing City is situated in the east region of southwest China's Yunnan province. The city's overall strength ranks the second place in Yunnan following Kunming, provincial capital of Yunnan.

probably because that's PLA's internal designation.
