Interesting, with an armament a little different

Designed to be armed with 4x C-803 AShM, 1× FL-3000N SAM launcher, 1× AK-176 main gun, 2 x 30mm remote weapon systems, 1 x Type 730 CIWS, 2 x 6-tube Type 3200 ASW rocket launchers & ASW Harbin Z-9E on board. Source indicates that Wuchan Shipyard in China began construction on the first two units on 8 January 2013. The first vessel launched on 29 November 2014[10]. Additional units (at least two) will be built a Bangladesh's Khulna Shipyard (KSY).

this is probably the right place to post it since it's a direct Type 056 variant.

As for wiki post, I don't think I saw any sign of the Type 730 in the video I watched. And I'm guessing that it doesn't have torpedo launchers either based on lack of opening on the side.

pretty sure they've done more than this.

I would be surprised if the hull is not significantly different and they somehow managed to fit an additional Type 730 CIWS on it. There is probably room for the ASW MRLs while I will chalk up the helicopter supposedly based on board as vague understanding/writing regarding usage of the helipad as there is no hangar.

In this DCNS video to promote the future F21 heavy torpedo, a Type 056 corvette is sunk

OT: Heh... The Chinese should paint a large Reichsadler on the side of the Type 056, and the torpedo would instantly become a dud. In fact, it might even get stuck in the tube.

The new F21 will be a heavyweight torpedo.

Seems to me to be a waste against such a small combatant. In other words...I do not know that they are maximizing their marketing appeal by showing that particular engagement.

Additionally, we'll see how the discussion goes...but posting such a marketing program by DNCS here on the Type 056 thread might be a little incendiary.
