589 and 592 SSF almost sure for Xisha/Paracels Flotilla to Yulin.

One member of CDF suggest 591 NSF for 77th Flot ASW to Lushun, very possible because I think she was commissioned to Dalian in more this flotilla hold yet 580, 581, 590 and seems 056 Flotilla would have 4 ships...

For 588 for the moment ESF sure but after

In general are the numbers you mentioned for the 056s (77th, elsewhere I have seen 72th and 83th) flotillas or squadrons? If those are squadrons, to which flotillas they belong?

Squadron size, same.

But this units also have other types of vessels, Haiqing, Haiju Corvettes Hainan also but seems all removed in the ESF.

Impossible 056, 591 is attached to 72 or 83th ASW Flotillas , ESF units and sure attached to the NSF.

they actually belong to maritime police regions, which administer a lot of PLAN's littoral ships.

588 was commissioned in XIAMEN View attachment 10203View attachment 10204
The one behind it is 583

Yes..........that is correct....was just going to post that myself, as some info from Chinese sources not so long ago had stated that '588' had been commissioned in the middle of July..........BUT it now appears '588' was actually commissioned into the fleet on the 8th August of this year!

Just tying up loose ends. :)

As of now we have more Type 056 units than Type 054A a achievement in itself

I would see this production continuing well for a other year or more

Type 056 is great for littoral operations freeing up the FFG and DDG for the real oversea business a great move

Actually there are 16 Type 054A and at this point only 15 Type 056 active in the PLAN. Does anyone know how many Type 037's have been decommissioned so far ? And how many there are left ?

It bothers me that the shipyards in China are focussing more on the Type 056, Type 052D and coast guard cutters then on the Type 052C and the Type 054A that are still the backbone of the PLAN fleet. So far this year we have not seen a single type 052C or Type 054a commissioned.

Yes I am not talking about active or commissioned units but more ones that we have identified
