According to the photographer, this mockup existed for several years. It is the original bridge design of 055, but the actual 055 bridge is smaller. It is not the design of the 055A or the next generation DDG.

So what's the verdict here? Opinions are split it seems.

The safer assumption would be that this is just a generic test and evaluation platform (i.e. non-model-specific), similar to the radar test facility structure at Jurong.

At least one hull at JN and DN each is undergoing sea trials. One more at each yard has until recently been fitting out. The third hull at each yard the last time I checked (some weeks ago) was still under construction (ie on land), fourth presumably in modules.

There isn't a 4th hull, second batch only has 6 ships
