The 055 Destroyer is already incredible and there is no equal in the world.

Perhaps for wishful thinking maybe it could be refurbished a bit to make room for the formidable DF-17 which needs about 11 meters x 1.2 meters.

That 055+17 version would be simply mind-blowing.

I think there is enough room for 11m long missiles in the current UVLS based on the size of frame of those UVLS which are 12m+ deep. At least from size estimate based on this pic.

Guys ... I don't know what's going on! endless and useless off-topic discussions in several flagship threads: more and larger battle-cruisers and more missiles in the 055 thread, guns vs no guns in the J-20 thread, larger 076 LAH/LHDs since "the bigger the better"!

Really? Discussing endlessly off-topic issues within a dedicated thread for certain individual system like here the 055 DDG must end!

Redshark mentioned on weibo that one of the only noticeable differences of these new 055s externally was larger windows, seems validated in this higher res image? Looks to me its 3 windows here instead of 4 for first batch 055s.

How would you even do mid-way replenishment of those massive missiles in the middle of an ocean?

Can somebody tell how many new 055 are being produced right now visually confirmed? After the first batch of 8 that is. Is it 2? 4? or even more? Also the same question for 052D. There are constantly new Satellite pictures being posted but Im not knowledgeable of Chinese shipyards and such and therefore I can't sum the numbers up.
