This is probably the best view of the concentric canister launcher yet. You can clearly see both the inner tube (containing the missile) and the outer tube used for venting exhaust gas:

I'm not very knowledgable on the PLAN UVLS, so I have this question:
We know that the UVLS is capable of both hot-launch and cold-launch, yeah?
We also know that PLAN hot-launched missiles like YJ-18 requires a concentric canister launcher that includes the exhaust plenum ( as shown in the above pic).
My question: is the CCL built into the cell, and removable for use of cold-launch missile, or the reverse ( CCL and hot missile as an all-up round, inserted into VLS)?

The CCL and hot launch missiles should be considered a round. Once fired, the whole canister is lifted out.

After all, that's the whole point of CCL. If the plenum stays, just use Mk.41 style plenum.

What I'm trying to recall tho, is whether hot & cold launch missiles are hot-swappable. Like can the same cell accomodate HL & CL missiles back to back without mod

Or

the cabling for HL & CL are actually different and therefore a specific cell is limited to HL/CL.
