I did a quick visualization of the Dual and Quad pack on the UVLS. it seem that even HHQ-16 would fit, since it has 0.34m in diameterI believe they are working on a quad pack mid-range SAM that the rumor mill has dubbed 555. It will be equivalent to US RIM-ESSM (seasparrow).
This missile will fit the U-VLS and thus filled the role of mid-range SAM for the DDGs and maybe the new FFG 05X.
There have been some mid-range SAM that have been appeared in Chinese military expo shows that makes me believe a 555 missile isn't far off in the future.
Like the FM-3000N that can .

I believe there's another one called the SD-30.

I used to do the same thing with solidworks.
The middle one might be able to be used for anti-submarine missiles with 324mm torpedoes.
I made an 8 units in one silo(3x3-1, Discharge tube in the middle) model some years ago on CDJBY,but it seems too small to have enough range that need vertical launching.View attachment 112688I tried further with 3x3. UVLS is actually large enough for 3x3 HQ-10 (127mm diameter), but I'm not sure if it's useful to have so many short range SAM.
2x2 still seem to be useful though, you can have the 340mm HQ-16 or the 324mm torpedoes
