There are three type 055 in the picture. One is being out-fitted, one is under construction, and another one in dry dock #4.I think that's not correct? There shouldn't be so many 055 in the water, U/C yes, but not in the water.
The arrays that you claim are IFF arrays are definitively thicker than the ones seen on the 052D. OTOH the thinner arrays do have a tall thick section in the middle that is behind them which we do not see in the 052D, so either way neither of the bar arrays on top of the bridge seem to be a good fit for the IFF arrays that we see on the 052D.It DOES
The problem of your pictures is that those bars were not the actual arrays, but placeholders.
They do have thick backs. Take a look again on the ship that is actually running.

Another thing, IFF has a segmented form in the array.

In the 052D's IFF, this segmentation is betrayed towards the bottom of the array. Each segment represents an element to itself.
On the 055's IFF, the segmentation is hidden from the front but visible from the back.

And this photo tells me what about the thickness of the IFF arrays?Why do you even compare it to the IFF arrays on the 052D, when you can compare the IFF arrays with the ones here.
