That one Type 055 is coming along nicely. Soon it will be obvious what she is.Jiangnan shipyard has a neck-breaking schedule
2x055 modules on the ready.

For such a large vessel the 055 hull seems to be coming together pretty quickly.......the interesting thing will be to see how long the vessel takes to outfit, once launched. As in comparison the lead ship of the 052D class was fitted out very quickly, but the remaining 052D's and previously 052C's took anything upto 2 years to finish off. Seeing as an 055 is obviously a complex vessel, i imagine the outfitting is gonna take quite a bit of time as well.
what is the estimated date for launch of first type 055 ?
Red Shark, the mod of haohanfw.com who did the CGIs of the 055 being assembled in JNCX, released this CGI of a completed 055. He seems able to get first-hand looks of the 055 in JNCX so I would consider the CGI to be of high fidelity.
didn't he release this specific CGI back in february...?
Now that I check back, yes, he did. Someone decided to dig up a 2 month old forum post and I forgot to double check the OP date.
