Huh, good to see confirmation that Type 1130 CIWS is capable of negative deflection. I wonder how effective it is in the anti-USV role.
Could be a ammo elevator for the 1130 like on the Type 52D though there's other candidates for that too with the number of little doors on that deck.

If @爱若丰狂SOYO历's sources are correct, then the 054B FFGs will become the 052Cs of the FFG-lineage (i.e. 6 ships in total for the whole class), and as the final members of the 054-family.

Good news. Type 054B is lacking in terms of firepower. Hopefully, they focused on the new ship design and sensor suite in this iteration and the next iteration will focus on better firepower and likely also changes in propulsion.
Didn't we confirm they built more 054A (054AG?) after 054B launch? I mean I suppose you can say 054AG is a new class but eh? That seems like a stretch.

054B is an escort ship, you don't want to pack your escorts with that much firepower. The PLAN surface fleet is already very firepower oriented compared to other modern navies.
If the PLAN does in fact pursue a successor frigate series to the 054B after just 6 ships, I hope the only differences are related to propulsion, power generation/management, and perhaps greater automation. Or maybe an entirely new novel hull design. The weapons load out and sensor outfit is fine as is.
